The ups and downs of being a PA

First, the up: So far, everyone has been really cool.  (Because I'm a local) I've been called to lend a hand finding and securing locations. My call times have been very reasonable (so far), so sleep isn't an issue. And, as I said before; A) I'm excited just to have the work; B) It's written and produced by Joss Whedon; and C) I'm working in a different department than I've ever worked before! Now, the down: I'll be driving down to Boston to pick up furniture for a set we'll be dressing today. No, that's not really a problem, BUT... today they are filming right here, in the town where I live. AND I'M DRIVING TO BOSTON TO PICK UP FURNITURE! Blurgh.

Joss Whedon's "In Your Eyes" comes to NH!

So, now that it's official, I can say what my latest gig is: Art Department PA on "In Your Eyes". I know, I know, most folks think it's funny that I get so excited about working as a PA. But, A) I'm excited just to have the work; B) It's written and produced by Joss Whedon; and C) I'm working in a different department than I've ever worked before! And, I just found out that "Royal Pains," star Mark Feuerstein will join Michael Stahl-David, Zoe Kazan and Abigail Spencer in the cast. Night & Day Pictures' Michael Roiff and David Rothenberg will produce the "metaphysical love story" with Whedon's Bellwether Pictures partner Kai Cole. Below is the press release from Matt Newton at the NH Film & Television Office , and a link to the IMDb page for "In Your Eyes". So cool. Mark Dominy Photography

An old friend of mine took the giant leap into self-employment recently, launching his own photography business in Apopka, Florida: Mark Dominy Photography . I mention this because, not only is he a great guy and a great photographer (and who doesn't love FREE publicity), but I got to design his logo! Here are two versions of the basic logo: There is also a Facebook page vertical design and a soon to be completed business card as well. Best of luck to Mark, and be sure to check out Mark Dominy Photography and Mark Dominy Photography on Facebook.
