Rediscovering (Walt) Disney

It's a shame that this movie is probably gonna tank at the boxoffice because I like Peter Berg as a director (The Rundown, The Empire), I like Liam Neeson, and I'm a fan of the US Navy. Unfortunately -- neither inspiring or particularly exciting -- the trailer (and poster) does little to instill any confidence in this latest toy-turned-movie adventure. Quite frankly this does not look like $200 million worth of alien invasion. I'll credit them with making it easy to figure out how they plan to bring the Battleship seek-and-destroy game play to life. But I think they should clue us in to what the aliens look like (or more about their motivation?) and if you call your movie Battleship, you might want to actually show a battleship. Just sayin'. Of course from what Berg has said in interviews there will be a battleship. In fact I think we'll see the resurrection of the decommissioned USS Missouri a-la "The Final Countdown."
