Countdown to Walt Disney World 2011 (7)

1 day to Disney!

We are on the eve of our latest trip to WDW. Maddy, Lisa and I are nearly packed, and Scott and Martha are ready too. Today will be spent checking and re-checking the packing and to-do lists, looking through the guidebooks for the millionth time and making sure the Passporter is filled in and fully loaded with maps, lists, tickets and more!

Tomorrow morning our limo service (Ryan driving our Honda Pilot) will drop us off at MHT where we'll be flying Southwest directly to MCO. After our arrival at Orlando we WILL have a limo (Tiffany Towncar) to take us to Walt Disney World, directly to the Wilderness Lodge. After we check in and drop off our luggage, our 7-day Disney adventure will truly begin - here are the highlights...

Day One
Lunch at Roaring Fork, shopping at Downtown Disney Marketplace, dinner at Whispering Canyon Café, and we'll end the day at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

Day Two
Today is a Magic Kingdom day. First we're going to the Polynesian for breakfast at 'Ohana. Later on, Maddy will have dinner with the princesses at Cinderella's Royal Table!

Day Three
Headed to Epcot and the Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival, getting there early to take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours. We'll be snacking around the world for lunch then walking over to Cape May CafĂ© for dinner. Then it's back to Epcot to catch .38 Special's Eat to the Beat! Concert at the America Gardens Theatre at World Showcase.

Day Four
Today is Africa day!
An early start as we head to Animal Kingdom and Donald's Dining Safari Breakfast at Tusker House. Hopefully the schedule will allow for both Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo live shows. After the park closes we'll be going to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and having dinner at Boma–Flavors of Africa.

Day Five
Yay, Hollywood Studios today! I personally am a fan, and there is a lot of stuff to see and do for Maddy too; the updated Playhouse Disney -- Live on Stage, Beauty and the Beast -- Live on Stage, and Voyage of The Little Mermaid. We'll make our traditional stop at The Writer's Stop to have coffee and carrot cake cookies. For dinner we're hopping a boat over to The Boardwalk and eating at Kouzzina by Cat Cora®.

Day 6
We're headed back to the Magic Kingdom today. Martha and Scott are going golfing at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course! And since we're planning to relax a little for the next couple of days we'll probably take the boat from the hotel over to MK. Lunch will be at Tony's Town Square (Spaghetti & meat balls of course!), hitting some ride highlights like Dumbo, the Carrousel and the Jungle Cruise. For dinner we'll take the monorail over to the Contemporary Resort and eat at Chef Mickey's.

Day 7
Today is no-plan day, no park plans, no meal reservations. We check out at 11:00am and don't get picked up by the limo until 3:30pm. Perhaps a monorail tour of the Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian hotels? A visit to Kidani Village and the Animal Kingdom Lodge to shop and see the animals we help feed and house? We'll see!

And that's it for our 2011 trip. We have tentative plans to use less DVC points in 2012 and fly to the west coast to visit Disneyland or return to WDW for a quick trip. Then in 2013 we'll have more points again for a longer stay at Kidani Village. The planning, plotting, scheming and Disney dreaming has started already.
